DORNIER and sustainability
Sustainability in our family business
Sustainability is not a fad at Lindauer DORNIER, but the basis and result of a long-term corporate strategy. With an average service life of more than three decades, our machines and systems are extremely durable – and therefore the opposite of disposable products. This is based on decades of experience in the design, manufacture and construction of machines and systems from a single source.
Our aim is to drive technical progress from the top with innovations and to set new trends in terms of sustainability with new machine concepts. Whether air-jet or rapier weaving machines, film stretching systems or machines for the composites industry: the further development of our machines and systems is always carried out with sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental protection in mind.
With an export share of over 90%, we are an internationally active machine and plant manufacturer. Nevertheless, we have a clear commitment: we develop and build all our machines and systems exclusively in Germany at our sites in Lindau and Esseratsweiler.
Our current workforce of around 950 employees forms the foundation of our family business. Since our foundation in 1950, the commitment and ideas of the “Dornians” have played a key role in ensuring that the machines and systems of our three divisions – weaving machines, film stretching systems and Composite Systems – set global standards in terms of quality, technology, reliability and flexibility. We owe our success above all to the hands and minds of the people who develop, design, build and later service our machines and systems for our customers.
