PROTOS® TP – Tape production line
The DORNIER PROTOS® TP/TPD tape production line is designed for the efficient manufacture of high-quality, unidirectional fiber-reinforced tapes. These tapes can either be stabilized with binder material or completely impregnated with a thermoplastic matrix. The system has a modular design, making it ideal for different processes and materials.

With DORNIER PROTOS® TP, fully impregnated thermoplastic UD tapes / thermoplastic prepregs can be produced. For the manufacturing of binder-fixed dry tapes and spread tapes, PROTOS® TPD variant is available.
Intuitive operation
The machine parameters can be set centrally. Recipe management reduces set-up times when changing items.
Fully integrated production
In combination with PROTOS® TW tape weaving machine, high-performance flat semi-finished products can be produced.
Precise fiber orientation
The innovative spreading technology allows precise and reproducible adjustment of the geometric properties of the spread fiber material.
