DORNIER TRITOS® PP 3D weaving machine
The DORNIER TRITOS® PP 3D weaving machine is used to produce complex-shaped and multi-layer fabrics for composite reinforcements. The machine is characterized by the digital programming of the weave pattern, a flexible shed geometry and a rigid rapier movement without additional guide elements for low filamentation. The DORNIER Weft Saver (DWS), which enables weaving with reduced weft waste, makes fabric production even more economical. The 3D weaving machine is available in suitable electrical protection classes for processing carbon fibers.

The TRITOS® 3D weaving machine features the advantages of the P2 rapier weaving machine platform in terms of ergonomics and operating concept.
Complex fiber architecture
The warp and weft yarns can be oriented in all three spatial directions. This enables fiber composite semi-finished products with very high mechanical properties.
High fabric thicknesses
The Electronic Fabric Guide (EFG) allows the production of fabrics up to 100 mm thickness.
High material efficiency
The DORNIER Weft Saver (DWS) ensures high material efficiency of the weft yarn and thus reduces the production costs for complex 3D fabrics.
Protected electronics
The electronic components of the machine are protected against carbon fiber contamination. This ensures fault-free operation.
High level of automation
The fully automatic Horizontal Take-Off (HTO) allows continuous production even during the changing of pieces.
